The life of Michelle Lewis was heading to a turning point that would change her life. Within a night, her family are murdered only leaving Michelle fleeing from the suspect. For some odd reason, her life is prophesied as a gem, and an activator for the doors of hell or heavens. A myth like that, bounds to make her life worthy a bounty to the ones greedy enough to own the doors of despair or hope.
Caught, she is left helpless and fragile, and forced to be a servant to the villagers, but that changes when a wolf appears to save her life in a run.

He still has command over some supernatural abilities, and Madiline (the main female character) takes the situation into her own hands by sacrificing herself. In this story there is a series of Folk tales put into this script that goes along with the story line, for example The Boy Who Cried, "Wolf," is one, and oddly enough Little Red Riding Hood, because oddly enough Madiline wears her Red Hood since she was young. He finds her, and because of her dormant wolf, he thinks she's human. Soon she goes missing, because her pack members sold her to a rogue pack. Alex searches, and searches, but cannot find her. Her wolf has to completely go dormant, because it's just causing her pain and she would died of she didn't. Alex thinks that she's dead, because he felt the connection between them break. He finds another girl to be his mate, and when Ashleigh is found, she is heartbroken. Not only was it her pack that made her suffer through all that because they sold her, but her mate had given up on her because her wolf had to go into dormancy. She falls into severe depression, and develops a form of PTSD, that was formed from the shock she had from her pack and mate's betrayal.
