What if Tempest was never founded? Rimuru missed his opportunity to save the lives of those who would've become some of his first and closest friends in his new slimy life, leading to him never founding his country. Many twists and turns occur as he stumbles along, mostly alone, trying to uphold the promise he made with his sworn brother, as well as carry on the will of the woman he lost early in his journey. This darker turn on the story we all know pushes our favorite slime to his limits in many ways, but will it still have a happy end? Can Rimuru survive this harsh new world without most of his friends? Will he still be the same person after enduring many hardships?
Jewel of Tempest
Rimuru was taking a break after the entire orc invasion incident and decided to take a stroll through the forest. While walking along he runs into a monster that was run out of their home by the orcs and lost their entire family to the attack. With nowhere to call home and no family to go back to, Rimuru accepts the monster into the new and growing town as his adopted daughter. The story will follow the main story beats of the light novel, but events will be changed due to a close bond forming between Rimuru and the new monster. The bond will be explored along with the world around the two of them, giving more depth to the characters and allowing them to move outside of the main story's narrative. This is my first time writing something like this so I apologies if there are any glaring issues you may notice. With that said if you see something that could use improving, I invite you to drop a comment and let me know about it so the story can be improved for everyone. The Mature rating is mostly just to cover my bases as I don't know where things will go as the story progresses. I of course don't own "That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime' so please check out the original work by Fuse.

He can believe that the bickering progressed this far, no shame really. post war, rimuru was living his life happily and freely after becoming a God. he was enjoying his day when all of a sudden, the girl's started bickering about who would be the one to marry him. not that it mattered to him, he only ever saw them as friends that he treasured the most than a romantic partner. to stop this commotion, benimaru suggested that they should host a ball to see who their master would pick. Rimuru thought this was a waste of time but agreed anyways for the sake that this would all stop. Little did he know of the new adventures he was about to encounter. Inspired by a Taylor swift song and I think yall know what song judging by the title. Gey this a remake to one of my stories. In this story in another timeline, Rimuru Tempest found a way to save Shizue and things went well they got married and had a child. However, things did not have a happy ending he tries his best to protect them when the whole world is being destroyed and Rimuru and all the monsters try to save themselves with help from Elyun and Keval partly and some adventures to make a portal to another world/timeline. However, only two people could go in so Rimuru lets Shizue and his daughter go to new timelines where can live happily. However, it seems both mother and daughter landed in a timeline where Rimuru evolved into a demon lord trying to resurrect the dead of the monsters. Join both mother and daughter to enjoy their second chance but the one they call husband/Papa has become a demon lord in their new lives. Rimuru has a second chance with Shizue that he couldn't save in his timeline. Join them if they change the future and live peacefully and what new adventures await them.
