THIS STORY HAS MOVED TO TUMBLR! Details given in the latest update. A story in which America's favorite Captain gives a new life and family to a five-year-old girl who has suffered well beyond her years... During an intense Hydra-disassembly mission, the Avengers are able to successfully detain countless Hydra personnel, as well as several of the evil agency's test subjects. But in the midst of the harrowing scene, America's favorite Captain is asked to investigate the final holding cell in the experimentation lab. There, he finds a small child huddled fearfully in a corner with a blindfold over her eyes, a complete contrast to the other prisoners who were all super-built, raging with anger, and ready to fight. Over his earpiece, the other Avengers are able to offer Captain scrambled bits of information they've all gathered about this mysterious creature, referred to as simply "Girl." But when she's brought back to the Avenger's Headquarter's to be further investigated, he finds out that there's much more to this little girl's story than anyone had initially imagined. With the seemingly complete elimination of Hydra, the heroic group are offered more freedom and time to make real lives for themselves. But Steve Rogers has formed a soft spot for a certain fellow ex-test subject. Along with the help of his friends, will he be able to help Girl heal and find hope for her future? And what will happen when Girl's dark past attempts to catch back up with her? [Trigger warning: physical, emotional, and sexual abuse of a child.] [Spoiler alert: This fan-fiction will include many unavoidable spoilers to most of/if not all the films in the Avengers series. Imagine this. A childhood friend. A lifelong friend. One that breaks the bonds of time. He's loved her his whole life. She's loved him just as long. She loves him no matter what he looks like. She fell in love with his soul. With his words. He thinks she's too beautiful to even stand in his presence. Picture a war. One that carries another friend away. Swept up in the "grand adventure" of it all. Steve longs to go. She wants him to stay, but when opportunity knocks he answers the door. "Write me something pretty. Like the poems you used to write about me when we were younger." "I will. I promise." -x- At first it's not what Steve Rogers expects but it's something Willow Peterson wants. Steve is out of danger but still helping. When word reaches him that their lifelong friend Bucky might be captured and held hostage by Hydra, Steve doesn't hesitate and jumps straight into the battle. When his letter reaches Willow she grows increasingly worried, wondering if the boy she loves will do his best to keep himself out of trouble. This is the untold story of Willow Peterson and Steve Rogers. The childhood they shared and the letters they sent. Captain America Fanfiction
