After the power rangers waged many battles over the years against the forces of evil a new law has passed to regulate the collateral damage: the Ranger Registration act, where all Power Rangers must be registered agents of the government and to enforce this law a government paramilitary police organization known as the Hexagon was created, led by Tommy Oliver who is now mentoring his own team of government-sponsored rangers: the three Hexagon rangers. however not everyone agrees with the Ranger Registration act as Jason Lee Scott believing that all Power Rangers should operate independently organizes an anti-Hexagon rebellion, mentoring a ranger team of his own to fight the Hexagon: the three Rogue rangers, who are painted as dangerous vigilantes by the Hexagon leading to a clash of ideologies between Tommy and Jason in addition to ranger vs. ranger.
