A sequel to Shakespeare's problem play, All's Well That Ends Well, following the aftermath of the events in the play. Bertram and Helen, after getting married, move near the River Scene and master their relationship on a rowboat. Paroles, wanting to get in on the action, moves into their summerhouse, the Salle de Juefs, and takes up a slew of new hobbies. They tire of them easily until they find the perfect Idefix, motoring around France. But this new craze soon leads them into zany adventures, very deep trouble, and finally a near-death experience that they have only one chance to escape from.
