"New Beginnings" is a captivating fanfic that carries on Tauriel's journey in the world of Middle-earth, following the heartbreak she endured with Kili. In the aftermath of her profound grief, she made an attempt to leave behind the pain and memories that haunted her, seeking solace in solitude. Yet, amidst the shadow of her sorrow, a revelation began to take shape-love had never truly abandoned her; it had merely lain dormant, patiently waiting for the right moment to rekindle its flame. As fate would have it, Tauriel's path reconnects with Legolas, an Elf prince who, like her, carries the weight of scars from the battles of Middle-earth. Their rekindled connection, born from shared experiences and the understanding that love perseveres even in the most trying times, ignites a new romance that challenges the deep-seated prejudices between their respective races. Against the backdrop of a world forever changed by epic conflicts, "New Beginnings" weaves a tale of healing and the enduring power of love. Will she continue to run away, or will she finally face the love she never truly saw?

The Elvenking is like a very strong, old tree, deeply rooted in the kingdom he pledged himself to protect. He also pledged himself to protect his heart from love, out of fear that it might weaken him, but that proved to be disastrous. Love... what daunting word rubbed in his face by that fearless redhead elleth during the battle in Dale. Is there any love left in him? Follows what happens with Thranduil and Tauriel after BOTFA, during the War of the Ring and further into the 4th Age. Mainly from Thranduil's POV and including canon events that are only briefly mentioned in the books. I try to respect the lore as much as I can. Apart from the romance, I wanted to explore Thranduil's character based on what we know about his life. Feedback and comments are much appreciated :) "His words were unforgiving again, hiding under the same cold tone he had for centuries, yet he could not believe them himself anymore. Tauriel was looking at him, her gaze seemingly piercing through his soul. His dream to restore Mirkwood to Greenwood and his thoughts of avenging his beloved wife were contradicting everything he said. He did not want to care yet every fibre of his being cared too much." "There was something else that Thranduil noticed in Celeborn's eyes: a combination of respect and admiration. 'You are strong, Thranduil. You are like one of the old Mirkwood trees, deeply rooted in the earth, that the centuries cannot wither. I always thought that, no matter what evil lies upon Arda, you will endure.' 8 parts Complete

Six months ago, the Battle of the Five Armies took everything from Tauriel. Her position as Captain of the Guard, the respect from her people, and her blonde companion to fight at her side. All gone because she helped a Dwarf. But six months later, Men from Dale wander into Mirkwood, claiming to be fleeing an imminent Orc invasion. With nothing to lose, Tauriel volunteers herself to scout out the threat. What she discovers is a danger far more real and personal to the elves than anyone could've predicted. Caught between duty and instinct, Tauriel takes matters into her own hands and plunges into an adventure that will change her forever. "Fantastic! A well-written story telling the tale of the couple who could've been. Deeply moving and inspirational!" ~ drthunder00 (Kiliel fan and fellow writer) [DISCLAIMER: ALL FEATURED PHOTOS ARE COPIED FROM GOOGLE IMAGES. I'M NOT THE CREATOR, ONLY THE ADMIRER.
