For those of you who don't know, far back in the 1900s, there was a royal family- The Romanoffs. The head of the family, Czar Nicholas || was rather hated by his people. He was not a great leader and made poor decisions that led to the government turning on him and horrible suffering for his people and the civilians.
Now, apart from this, behind the curtains, there was a man, Gregori Rasputin. Many of the citizens of Russia began to believe that he was a sorcerer and that he had begun to influence the things that the Czar had done. Now, I'm sure by this alone, you would assume he would be rather hated, but one of the main rumors around the villages was of an affair going on with Rasputin and the Queen- the Czar's wife, Alexandra.
Now, I believe this has been proven false- though Rasputin was quite a womanizer....

But what if there was a royal affair? A rather beautiful one that wasn't an affair, to begin with? And what if the rumors were what lead to the downfall of a happy family that only lived to hope?

TLDR; Shouta Rasputin was a powerful man, respected by the feared and feared by the respected. At a banquet, he reunites with his childhood friend, Hizashi Romanoff as well as his wife, Y/n. He had heard of her, of course. She was from a rival kingdom and typically stayed out of the public eye. At first, being wildly unimpressed by her, he soon becomes somewhat infatuated with the pristine monarch.
He stays away in fear of interrupting a beautiful marriage, continuing with his womanizing across any land he steps on, until of course both the queen and his childhood best friend approach him with a compromising proposition.
