Adeline Thompson had her heart set on one goal. To allow liberty to the colonies. However, every step she takes to bring them closer to victory, is a step closer to betrayal.

With her family divided on either side of the war, tensions were high in her Loyalist household. Her work as a spy for the Continental Army was a dangerous secret with the ability to get her hanged at any minute. More importantly, it allowed for her to lose the most valuable thing to her: family.

With three brothers and one recently deceased, Adeline felt responsibility to stay alive for them. But would they even care for her if they found out of her traitorous ways? They had already disowned one of her brothers. If she were found out she would not be disowned, she would be killed.

As Adeline deals with the grief of losing her closest brother, a mysterious stranger enters her life after showing up at her door in pain. His story doesn't add up and he plagues Adeline's mind. However, another does as well. A high ranking Captain that is staying in her home has undoubtedly caught her attention. Now she is at a crossroads between them and also between sides of the war.
