Jace never expected to love Clary, he never knew what they were or what they thought they were. He wanted to trust her, needed to trust her, and he did all up to a certain part. He told no one, he owed a debt to a certain fanged fiend. She excepted nothing but the payment that made her feel like she ripped everything away from you, everything you hold dear, everything that ever meant anything she took from you by taking you from them. Jace asked her to help him save his mother when he was young. She never forgot. She watched him grow. When she thought he was old enough, she hunted him down, he never paid her. In truth he never forgot her either, he knew the price of a vampire's help but he had no other choice, it was either risk or stand aside and cry helplessly as his mother faded before him. He risked It, now she wanted payment. The young shadowhunter thought he could run, escape her but oh how wrong he was. She will get her payment anyway she can, In his case, a capture....imprisonment......

Taking place in City of Fallen Angels, when Jace is having nightmares about killing Clary. Jace decides to breakup with Clary to keep her safe. What will Clary do? Can their love survive? Disclaimer: I do not own The Mortal Instruments or any of the characters. Just so you know before reading this, I wrote this in 6th grade and my grammar/spelling is horrible. I've attempted to go back and fix a couple things, but I would have to re-write the whole story to make it perfect, which I do not want to do. Anyways, enjoy!
