(LOWER CASE INTENTIONAL) (NOT A SONG FIC) "i'm eddie," "richie," "really? you look like your name is henry or something!" i laugh and hang my head back and lean back. i almost find it odd how quickly me and richie have connected. in the sky, the stars are staring back at me, mirroring the smile a stranger had given me. "alright, maybe you could call me henry and i can call you a name that fits you better," he pauses, putting an over exaggerated thinking face, "eds, eddie spaghetti, eddie bear-" the silly nicknames cause my heart to skip a beat. i swallow down the strage feeling richie gives me and try to resist the warmth growing on my face. "stop! your just embarrassing yourself!" i exclaim. reddie story inspired by Strawberries and cigarettes by Troye Sivan, in Eddie's perspective. posted: Wednesday, February 8, 2023

Commission for my best friend, Katie (ily nh)!! Short reddie book that was originally a one-shot. It's the 1930s, and Richie Tozier is a navy boy who works hauling cargo at the shipyard by the bank. Eddie Kaspbrak is the banker's son who can't keep his eyes off of Richie, looking through the window of the bank. When they meet, Eddie refuses to give Richie his name until he "earns it." So Richie vows to earn the window boy's name, no matter what. "Eddie could feel Richie's eyes burning holes in his back, but he didn't turn around, just tensed a bit. He wasn't sure why. He guessed he knew that if he turned and looked, he'd be met with chocolatey eyes and dark, playful curls and milky, clear skin and an award-winning smile with full, soft lips and a nose that was always a little pink and probably a teasing, 'like what you see, Kaspbrak?' and huge, dorky glasses that somehow brought out every feature spectacularly, pitting them against each other in wonderful juxtaposition. And Eddie didn't know if he could look at that without really, truly falling in love."
