Emma Mountebank is in love with her bestfriend, Abigail Blyg. Although she is oblivious to this matter.

Abigail is dating a boy named Nick Furcillo, who is rather alike her, as in sweet and soft spoken. He's really kind with a gentle smile, which only made Emma more jealous mostly because she and Abi were basically complete opposites however Abi and Nick were so similar, which made them a perfect couple. At least so she thought.

Dylan Lenivy, one of Emma's closest friends noticed what had been going on and is there for her, so is his best friend Kaitlyn Ka.

Emma keeps desperately dropping hints to Abi, like how she keeps rejecting all the boys that ask her out and how she always chooses her over her popular friends but Abi still doesn't grasp the angle. To make matters worse, Emma's ex Jacob Custos still hasn't given up in trying to get back with her, never giving her a break which is only adding to her stress.

Prom is in a few weeks and Emma had wanted to ask Abi to be her date and confess her love to the shy girl. But Abi would most probably be on Nick's arm, due to the two being in a relationship. And besides, nobody knows Abigails sexuality, she could most probably be straight, having no interest in women whatsoever, but you never know until you ask.

How long will Emma be able to keep up her confident and positive act?

Will she be able to step out of her comfort zone and do the right thing? Or will she stay in the dark forever and suffer in silence?
