Charlie, a 16 year old boy. He has recently moved to the town of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He recently made a new friend named while in school, named Sodapop, a 17 old male he met while in the hallways.

Charlie had been invited to Sodapops' house to hang, but doesn't expect to find a gang of greasers hanging out on Sodapops' porch.
Some of the older ones of the gang soon start to take interest in Charlie
