I had survived the first. That was then; this is now. The blindfold of so many pills slowly died away and first though my finger then my head, a passion, a hurt and a need filled me as every moment was consumed with words; every breath with wisps of ink. But they were not all captured and somewhere in the deep abyss of living, lies the unspoken, almost unfelt feelings of decades in months. Cold Water
[BWWM] I was only twelve years old when the world turned cold. The day my mom died in that car accident, I felt like someone had dumped a bucket of ice water over my heart. My dad, who had always been my hero, suddenly became a stranger, filled with rage and blame. He couldn't see that I was hurting, too; he only saw me as a reminder of his loss. The accusations cut deep. He said it was my fault for being there, for not doing something to save her. For being the reason she was in the car in the first place. In the years that followed, things only got worse. The abuse started gradually-a harsh word here, a shove there-but it escalated, leaving scars that I carried long after the physical pain faded. I was drowning in my own despair, struggling to keep my head above water while my father's anger raged like a storm around me. I only had a break from his anger when I started living with Aunt Dina-my mom's older sister. Well, that was because she found me nearly dead on my bed after I took a dozen pills. I was tired of living. I had hit rock bottom. The harsh whispers that followed me around and the stares at school. I pretended not to notice, like it didn't bother me. But it did. I was alone. Then came Athalia, a ray of sunshine cutting through my darkness. With her, I felt something I hadn't felt in years-happiness. My name is Saraphine-just Saraphine. It may seem strange for a human being with flesh, blood and a soul to have nothing but a first name, but, to some, I'm not a human and I don't have any of those things. You see, I was born a slave. DEPRESSION
Just a story about me. How I struggled with depression and am still affected by it. If anyone finds it helpful (which you most probably won't) do not hesitate to tell me about your experience. Just remember that you are not alone and their are people out there who are struggling just like you, who are suffering just like you and maybe suffering and struggling in more worse ways than you are. Sometimes we fear truth over reality. But things get dark and heavy and we play the blame game. We end up hurting others or ourselves even. We don't think before we act or we don't say before we do. "I waited ages just so I could meet you again." 𖤓☽ ˚｡𖦹 ⋆｡°✩ Hands gripped my hips, and I was tugged back against a solid chest. His arm came around my waist, and his palm landed on my hip. In one swift motion, he had me secured against him. Every inch of my skin that was flushed against him heated. Even through the thin fabric of my dress and his blazer. Turning my head to look up at his face, I didn't care that my lips had parted and that my eyes probably looked hazy and a little clouded. Keeping our gazes locked, my arms lifted of their own accord, my hands linking behind his neck. Without really knowing how, my hips started moving. And we were dancing. The memory of us dancing when we were children crossed my mind. How ironic it was that we'd found ourselves in the same situation after twenty years and now that we seemed like completely different people.Complete
