Kirsty feels lost with a father who pays more attention to a bottle of Smirnoff, a boyfriend who frightens her so much she is scared to leave the relationship, and no mum to speak of, she is worried about what might become of her. That is until she meets a boy in her music class who might be able to get her excited about life again. However, what will her boyfriend make of this new guy in her life.
