This is a translation of my Urdu poem "Jawaab-e-taqdeer". At times we find ourselves baffled by life circumstances and start pondering over fate's role in our misery. During such a situation, a deep introspection lead me to question the real meaning and implications of destiny, hence resulting in the foundation of this poem. I wrote this poem and translation for the college magazine. Hope you readers enjoy it. For those who know Urdu, I have included the original poem with the translation.

A writer by passion and a university student, she was everything men wanted in their women but not every family was filled with bustling happiness and after her parents' marriage came to a tragic end, she couldn't bring herself to the thought of loving and marrying someone in the future. Her fear only deepened when her father married for the second time- love wasn't deep and permanent- was all she thought until she met him. He was the son of a politician and a renowned businessman. Everyone in the business and political world worshipped him for what he had and who he was. He had everything but hailing a family like that, he was fated to not have a childhood, dream, passion and perhaps love. He was fated to live for the company. What's life if he didn't get to live it for himself? They then meet, eyes lower and eyes speak. And when eyes speak, souls fall in love. Meet Zaviyar and Maheen.
