There's nothing Sabrina Taylor hates more than her home town. There are too many bad things: a rocky relationship with her father and step-mother, a group of friends that didn't ever seem to care that much about her, and of course, her ex-boyfriend Theo, who broke her heart right before she left for college. There's nothing Theodore Russo loves more than his home town. He's got great friends, a job that he loves and a delightful dog who adores him. He loves everything about Whitley, Massachusetts, except that everywhere he goes, he's reminded of his ex-girlfriend Sabrina, who broke his heart when she left for college. After three and a half years away, Sabrina is forced to return home for Christmas and despite her best efforts, can't seem to stop running into Theo everywhere she goes. Even worse, each interaction with him makes her wonder whether she's been angry at him all these years for all the wrong reasons.

Olivia Wren grew up in a strict household-the kind with rules for everything: when to go to bed, where she could be, and constant location tracking the second she left the house. Most teenagers would've rebelled. But not Liv. She followed every rule down to the last letter. So when she got to college, it made sense that she'd use her freedom to the fullest. Parties, late nights, no one watching her every move. For a while, it felt like everything she'd missed out on. But after two years, the freedom starts to lose its shine. With nothing solid to fall back on, Liv lets herself go. It takes hitting a low point to realize that the girl she's become isn't who she wants to be anymore. Then there's Jace Rylan Camden. The kind of guy Liv's sworn off. He shows up to class drunk on the first day-not exactly the best first impression. He's an athlete, lives in a frat house, and hangs out with his loud group of friends. Basically, everything Liv's tried to leave behind. But when casual class interactions turn into seeing each other outside of it, Liv starts to question whether she's really moved on-or if Jace might be different from what she thought. Especially when the two stumble into a fake relationship- kind of will be hard to keep away from each other this way huh?
