Victoria, a market-flower seller, works hard to provide for herself. She has no family and no friends since the scandal. Her life is to simply survive. That is until she gets caught up in one of Enola Holmes' street chases, and gets fired. Unable to support herself, she turns to the only two people she trusts- Enola and Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock hires her as his maid, after all, Mrs. Hudson isn't his housekeeper. But very soon, Victoria finds that working for the most famous detective in the world has its dangers, both physically and emotionally, as she soon falls head over heels for her employer. This only worsens as Sherlock's case, involving a deadly plague ravaging the city of London, develops, and a darker world of criminals challenges the Great Detective to a game of cat and mouse.
