Playa was the average teenage girl living with her multigenerational family and going to a private school. She was also top of  her class and studied as hard as she could so she could become a doctor. That was till she was hit by a car and killed, however she came back to life as she was a Phoenix Blood. This rare race had powers like Phoenix's and where unkillable, however a large portion of the population used their powers to hurt and kill other humans making the government deam them dangerous. Not only that but scientists also preforming inhuman experiments on them. Now fearing for her safety and the safety of her family Playa is scared to return home so when a seemingly kind Phoenix Blood lady offers her a place to stay and to help her control her powers she accepts. However this turns out to be a big mistake as the woman is hiding a dark plan she has for the entire human race.
