Phoenix is the only child of Jax, king of Ethica. She's also the only heir to the throne. To prevent her from gaining power, Jax signs a treaty with the kingdom of Simaea. Militiary protection in exchange for Phoenix.
Now Phoenix finds herself all alone in a strange kingdom. There's only one thing she knows for certain about Simaea: the heir to the throne is a royal pain in the ass. The time to claim her throne is running out, and Phoenix has no time to deal with the Prince.
As Phoenix falls further into his realm, she must ask herself which kingdom is more important to her. And, how much she's willing to risk for the crown.

The one she loved most was attacked, almost dying because of someone's idiocy. And so she fought. She fought for her dying family, soon gaining the powers of the internal flame buried deep inside her. Screeching her painful cry, she fought in her new form with all her might. But it wasn't enough as it's hand sprouted from her body. Tears fell from the eyes of her lover, his eyes wide as he watched her body wither in pain. Hey dark eye were gentle a she watched his physical pain disappear, his wounds sealed shut as he snatched her closer one more time. Softly she apologized, saying words she wanted so badly to say before sealing their goodbye with a kiss. After one last smile, she disappeared into the fire below, her body dissipating into the molten flames as her words echoed into the soundless wind. Adellia has grown up surrounded by rules and regulations. She's been prepped from birth to eventually reside in the throne that has been in her family for what feels like forever. Unfortunately, her destiny is quickly approaching. Her father is dead, and her mother has only a couple of months to live according to doctors. All eyes in the castle, and kingdom, turn to Adellia expecting her to step into her mother's shoes. However, both women aren't ready to give up their lives just yet. Wanting to learn more about her kingdom, and the people of it, before she is forced into an arranged marriage and the throne for the rest of her life, Adellia ventures out into the kingdom to do just that. While there, Adellia meets a young blacksmith by the name of Faron and gets sucked into a plot that goes against her, and her mother's wishes. Will she be able to venture into the unknown, and survive out of the watchful eye of the palace? This book has sexual reference and mentions of things that could possibly be triggering to some - e.g. young motherhood and loss of a parent. This work is usually split into two parts, but I have decided to take down the second part, and consider the first part, one book for now, so I can work on the second.
