Instead of splitting their front up, the Japanese kept their sights on the south. The attack on Pearl Harbour was replaced with an early attack on Darwin, an attack with a very specific purpose. On the 14th of February, 1942, Australia gets captured by Japanese soldiers in a reckless attempt at revenge. To his surprise, he ends up in the home of an old friend. Convinced to at least stay a little while by Japanese Empire, Australia begins feeling guilty about cutting off contact with his friend. But Japanese Empire begins displaying strange behaviours that Australia is utterly confused and disturbed by. But... Japanese Empire is his friend, Australia has known him for decades. He wouldn't do anything to purposefully hurt Australia.
