I feel something when I think of her.

I hear her heartbeat slightly pick up, initiating that she's becoming aware of someone watching her. She's covered in flour and her long hair is put up messily. Her breathing grows heavier as she turns around to look at the glass doors.

But before she can see me, I hide in the shadows. It's something I'm very good in. 

Why am I hiding from her, you ask?

Because that's all I am to her right now. A shadow, a normal citizen that passes her on the sidewalk every day. Just a silhouette that you don't bother to memorize anymore.

But I know that she will like me, maybe even love me. Everything will be perfect. I know it will.

As soon as I introduce myself to her.

She makes sure to bump into him, while shopping for groceries, introducing herself, but she finds he's very closed off and guarded. Can she get through to him, or will he up and run again? When Hydra operatives come crashing through their complex, Lexi must make the choice, to stand and fight, or run. Will the two work together?
