This story starts at Seaons 1, Episode 1 of the Freeform TV series, Motherland: Fort Salem.

Not officially a RaellexCarmen story but also, it's not, not a RaellexCarmen story ;)

My main addition is the character 'Carmen Ullsthorpe', her unit and those that add to her storyline.

I do not own the story of Motherland: Fort Salem. Only the original characters are my own.

TW - some chapters do contain strong language, depictions of death or more. If this is the case I will inform you at the beginning of the chapter, from there read at own risk.

Of course, I understand that RaellexScylla is a big part of this story and I don't remove that, I simply add and play with it. Saying that, this is not a RaellexScylla focused story. (You've been warned)

There's something about Nightingale NJ that has people talking. What should be a beautiful city full of thriving multicultural businesses and festivals, plant-life and waterfalls, and vibrant nightclubs is instead a land of horror. While every continent has threats to public safety and haunting mysteries, it says a lot when Nightingale is high on the Top 10 list of cities in America with the highest body count: mobsters with cult connections, mysterious deaths almost animalistic in their violence, and missing persons seemingly lacking a pattern. We welcome you to this perfect hotspot for off-the-wall tabloids and exploitative podcasts. You live here because you have to and not because you want to. *** What was the point in living if you couldn't fight for a better tomorrow? What results would be waiting for you if you allowed a situation to rot and be left for the scavengers to devour? Justice. Punishment. Peace. Violence. There were so many ways to go about reaching your goals. Which mattered the most depended on which was the most effective method. Dionne Williams was a reporter. Unbiased and honest. Reporters were meant to have their voices heard, to explain the naked truth to their audience. Because to create a better world, you need to have an informed world, and Dionne was one of those loud voices willing to break open the seedy underbelly concealed from the public eye starting with her current residence, Nightingale NJ. Fayth Esposito-Jhavari was a demon in human clothing. Well, more like a somewhat unwilling vessel for a creature of a demonic nature, but her way of earning money didn't make her the most morally sound person anyway. Can't exactly write contracted killer on a resume and expect enthusiastic handshakes and back pats. Any crumb of normalcy becomes obsolete when a stubborn aspiring reporter and a vengeful hitwoman cross paths. (Rough/First Draft) (Cover created in Canva)

(Epic Fantasy/LGBT Romance) COMPLETED & PUBLISHING A Guard's Request will be published with Fantastic Books Publishing in October of 2023, but I have decided to leave this early draft up for anyone who can't wait until then. With the creation of the Valnyr Galaxy, the Guardians vowed never to interfere with the affairs of the mortal realm. However, when sinister forces seek to steal the power of the Manastream, Alamantra's Guardian finds that some oaths are easier to keep than others. Life is about to change for the citizens of Freya as a blight sweeps across the land, corrupting the mana held within their bodies. Princess Arafrey finds herself stripped of all she holds dear, alone on the frontlines. However, there is hope as guards Reyla and Tharin take on a quest from the Gods to cure the sickness, leaving Freya to traverse the Ten Kingdoms in search of The Hand of Miera. But will they be able to find it in time? Meanwhile, in the East, The Duran Empire marshals their forces as the Emperor seeks to invade the starved desserts of Sudra. But the Sudra hold a terrible secret and Queen Nymati will not go down without a fight. * * * Imagine if Tim Burton and Joss Whedon got together to make a story to rival Full Metal Alchemist or Fairy Tail: that's my writing style. I hit some pretty deep topics but I try keep it light and entertaining. Trigger Warnings/Mature Content: I will post trigger warnings at the beginning of scenes to warn people, but let's make a list here just to be sure. Sex, survivors guilt, suicide, rape, murder, gay/lesbian sex, masturbation, assault, torture, addiction... There maybe more I missed, let me know if you feel I should add anything else. While grappling with the knowledge that she killed her best friend, Carmen tries her best to settle into her new life with her mother in Buenos Aires, but she can't live peacefully as long as VILE is still a threat. When certain members escape from prison, Carmen knows what she must do: Resume the fight. But not a day passes that she doesn't think of Gray, which is seriously hindering her health, and unfortunately, her ability to fight. More than anything, she wishes her best friend were alive, but there's no way he could have survived the blast from the crackle rod. Right..? •• ϟ •• A few things first. ~ Carmen is 15 or 16 when she enrolls at V.I.L.E. This can be determined because the show opens on Carmen approximately twenty years after she was taken from Argentina. If you take the one to two years she's been causing trouble for V.I.L.E. and the two years she was enrolled and subtract that, then you can see that Carmen is more or less 16 when she meets Gray. Next, the minimum requirement to be a junior electrician is having a G.E.D. and being at least eighteen. So Gray's estimated age when he enrolls can be 18 or 19 at minimum. With this in mind, Gray is at the very least two years older than Carmen. So, no icky-nastiness involved. ~ Carmen is a bisexual woman. Those that don't recognize Carulia as a valid ship are simply blind. Still, I prefer Redcrackle, so that's the primary romance. ~ I try to keep the characters consistent with their television portrayal and maintain the original plot. ~ There's only one inconsistency I'm aware of, kudos if you find it! Further notes: ~ I love receiving comments! Add a star (*) to your comment if you'd like a personal response.
