The Little Kingdom had endured a hard thirty years; the fall of the Marigold Kingdom, and environmental damage caused to neighbouring elf and fairy colonies, had caused the population of the Little Kingdom to spike. A melting pot of conflicting ideologies on how society should be run and how elves should be treated began to eat away at the newly-crowned fairy Queen Holly, as well as the very stability of the current United Little Kingdom.

With their safety, rights, and moral beliefs coming into question, the descendants of the original inhabitants of the Little Kingdom are left to pick up the pieces.

The half-elf heir to the throne, Sunny Thistle, can't bear to be at the centre of it.
