Things on the Ridge are not as good as they seem. Maevis is struggling with the fact that one of her children looks like her rapist, and Catrìona struggles to reach her daughter. In addition to that, Catrìona is having a very difficult time accepting the fact that Archie is married. Jamie must lead a militia in the hunt for his own godfather. Cailean must fight hard for the people of Barra, but how hard can he fight when the English have all but branded him a former traitor in service of the Crown?
