In order to alter the direction of a rotating shaft's motion, reduce speed, and enhance torque between two non-parallel rotating shafts, bevel gears are a key component of power transmission systems. Both shafts with intersecting axes and shafts with non-intersecting axes are occasionally utilised with them. Shafts are frequently, but not always, perpendicular.
