Tommy was like Icarus. He was soaring ever closer to the sun. He didn't notice his wings melting. He didn't care until he came plummeting to the earth. The air filled his lungs one more time as he hit the ground. He opened his eyes to find that everyone had left him to die, everything was gone.

Nov 16. Wilbur blew up L'manburg. Wilbur died. Tommy lost everything.
But that's not what really happened. Wilbur begged Phil to take his life but the blond had another idea. Phil, Wilbur and Technoblade left to save the broken President but left Tommy behind. They had no idea that in doing that, they created their new enemy.

Bad Dream
His eyes, usually dull and sad, were ablaze with anger and hatred. He was done with Dream, he was done letting people hurt him, he was done with L'manburg and how much pain that place alone had brought him. "It's a place that only holds sorrow and fear now, Tommy." Wilbur had said, his brown eyes dull as he spoke. "It's brought grief even to us, hasn't it." Wilbur looked at Tommy before he continued. "It's not the place I built, L'manburg not the place that you and I loved." How right Tommy realized Wilbur was. The place he had once called home was no more than a breeding house for the chaos and sadness that now plagued the SMP. He wished he hadn't been so blind in the beginning, listened to Wilbur. But he had hoped that L'manburg wasn't a lost cause, that what he had fought so hard for was still salvageable. But he knew that L'manburg was always meant to fall, and they had only delayed it's downfall. "I-I'm sorry Wilbur... I should have listened to you." He whispered out, he knew his brother couldn't hear him but he could hope that his words would travel into the afterworld to reach his ears. "Please forgive me." He wiped his tears away vigorously, looking towards the now-destroyed nether portal. "I'll finish what you started... I'll do what should have been done." Phil is a well-respected prosecutor just getting back into work. Technoblade is a feared and successful defense attorney with questionable clients and is rumored to be a bit... unstable. Wilbur is a musician turned politician with big plans for a better world. Tommy is a junior detective who probably causes more crimes than he solves and whose best friend can possibly sense ghosts. Life was good, too good to last, apparently. A horrific murder shatters their perfect world and it's up to them to avenge their fallen family member and send his killer to jail, but this is so much bigger than any of them first realize. - Basically, a bunch of family dynamics but also someone is gonna die, and everyone else reacts appropriately.
