Mature
A young lady haunted by, quite literally, her father's past, battles with her purpose in life. Set in medieval France, lady Valoran, over the span of more than a decade, strives towards her own freedom, keeping her love for her father in mind, whilst also not letting it keep her from eventually spreading her wings. It turns out to be quite a daunting task as tragedy hits the house of von Tréaus in near continuous bursts. Her mother's survival was short, and her death swift. Her father understands much, but is much less understood himself, which eventually turns his path to an unnatural end. Lady Valoran is left to fill shoes and fulfill roles she never desired to. She has enemies to all sides, and allies far and few between them. Her foes' belligerence knows no bounds, and she is forced into becoming a merciless ruler feared even by gods of war from distant, foreign lands. Toppling empires in her wake, she ventures to wreak havoc on pantheons in her thirst for bittersweet vengeance and her lust for blood payments.
