"Well, Connor, it's nice to meet you," their smile never fades, and Connor swears there's a twinkle of something in their eye as they gaze up at him, "I like your coin tricks."
It was like his thirium pump stuttered at their words, and Connor quickly ran another diagnostic that came up with nothing, even though it felt like his systems were failing because why was he acting like this around them?
"Thanks," he managed, his grip tightening on the coin in his pocket, "Do you do any tricks with your drumstick?"
Connor finds a new interest in music after seeing a band at a bar. His infatuation with the lead singer has absolutely nothing to do with it.

The the year 2038 everything seemed to finally be looking up for the recently torn city of Detroit, not for young (name) who couldn't speak since an accident at age six left her mute. Being mute had a lot of disadvantages, the biggest being that most humans couldn't understand sign language at her workplace in the Stratford tower, so the only friends she really had were androids. An RX800 android, Brent being her best friend Then, after a supposed terrorist bombing at the Stratford tower, she is thrown into a police investigation head first, the only person with she could really communicate was an RK800 android named Connor. Throughout the investigation, however, (name) grows a strong attachment to Connor, with him treating her like an actual equal than a strange foreigner. This may be written 7 years after the game's release, but I really hope all of you loyal fans are still looking for more content... My two biggest inspirations for this story: - Deviating and Solving Crime with 100% Human Detective Connor by CaotainKenway on ao3 for the whole android pretending to be a human concept. - Deviant Behaviour by Precursor - just general inspiration because it's my fave dbh fic of all time.
