Rolex Ruby uncovers the tragic story of poverty; the drastic effects of unemployment and disability as well as exploring the social dynamics that 12 year old Ruby has to adapt to. Just a little background... This is only a short story which I wrote for my Extended Project Qualification for college. The qualification required me to find a subject of interest and to use my skills to either create a product or write a report. Having always loved writing, I decided to write a book. Rolex Ruby was then researched extensively before being written. Once my first draft was complete, I and my parents (Andy and Julia) edited it thoroughly so there *fingers crossed* shouldn't be any mistakes - though don't hesitate to point anything out! I painted the covers and bound the book myself. I also had to write a report and do a presentation to gain the qualification along with the 12000 word story. The Strange Gem ( Gem!Reader x Steven Universe Various)
VERY VERY VERY VERY SLOW UPDATES! Many years ago, a gem emerged on the homeworld near the diamond palace. Pink, being the first one to recognize a gem emerging, told the other 3 diamonds about the information. As all four of them watched the new gem merge, it was discovered that the gem was born with two gems instead of one. Instead of shattering the gem, white diamond decided to keep them as they were a rare cut gem with an abnormal two gems instead of one. After the discovery, they decided to name the gem, Y/N. Y/N soon lived underneath the Diamonds and was treated as if she was a diamond herself. After Pink shattered, Y/N was heavily protected and had a harness around her at all times, always around either the diamonds or heavily guarded by two topazes and a jasper. After being allowed to roam around the Gem Warship, she was stopped by Steven who convinced her to help him find his friends and escape. After the explosion, she was founded by The Crystal Gems and was officially their 'hostage'. From being heavily guarded and kept within eyes sight and inside her whole life into being outside and experiencing many different emotions for the first time. This is when her story begins.
