The Undergrounders have survived famine, poison, and riots. For two hundred years, they waited for a chance to ascend to the surface of Overland.

As their dream comes to fruition, the survivors quickly learn they are not alone. The moment a small party exits the vault that's kept them trapped underground, a vessel hovers overhead, bathing the group in white light before disappearing.

Not everyone is willing to risk what awaits above, but for a select few, this is an opportunity to begin anew. For Ryker, a pariah accused of participation in an insurrection that killed dozens, including Council Members, this means freedom to pursue his husband, who disappeared shortly after going to Overland.

Leaving is certainly dangerous, especially with a young daughter he's promised to protect.

When the chance to return to the surface is presented, Ryker is among the first to volunteer, despite his frail health. Others join, including new and familiar faces as the group must determine whether it's truly safe for the others to finally leave their ancient bunker.

What awaits the exploration party in the Overland? Are the new visitors friends or foes?
