Just when everything seemed to be over, the ghosts of the past return to haunt the FBI's criminalistics unit. In addition, the crime unit will be structurally affected. On the one hand, the general director of the department will have changed and, after Reed's departure in the previous season, the department will have to choose another agent to be able to carry on its work after his absence. On the other hand, the agents will have to face an even worse case: keeping their job when everything in the department is faltering. But, the agents' main mission is still focused on capturing the most dangerous killers for the United States. They will do this by embarking on their thoughts and focusing on using the psychological side of criminalistics in order to capture them.
