Theodore's parents have recently divorced and Theodore follows his mother to the countryside away from his father. They move to a small town which is his mother's hometown. Theodore makes a friend from the neighbour house. He's excited on making new friends, but he keeps wondering about a one thing.

Why does my new friend's sister hate me?

Amaya loves being alone and listening to sad music. She is the town's biggest grump according to her family but she actually takes pride in that because she doesn't see any reason to act all sunshiny when that's not how she feels. She escapes from the real world while she reads her books. Amaya's love for books is the only thing that keeps her doing her at the local bookstore because she has social anxiety which makes interacting with people a little bit harder than for some people.

So what does she think of the new boy next door? Annoying.
