Rising Conflict: Draco Malfoy notices something's wrong. At first, he's suspicious of Harry's late-night disappearances and unexplained weakness. Determined to uncover the truth, Draco follows Harry and Blaise, overhearing enough to realize Harry is sick - and hiding it. Driven by curiosity and something deeper he refuses to admit, Draco starts watching Harry closely. When Harry's magic flares during a heated Defense Against the Dark Arts class, sparks of green lightning crackle around him before he collapses.
