This is an inspired story from a Pinterest post I saw a while ago and figured I would make this into a cute little story.
Charlie was a well-known witch in her town. But not for her services, but her two familiars, an adorable cat named Zephyr and an intelligent crow named Casino. Charlie has been practicing witchcraft since she was 7 and she's always been in awe by constellations and anything witch-related. Zephyr and Casino were always loyal companions to Charlie, even if she didn't have human friends. But the familiars had a few secrets. Even though Charlie's two best friends had much in common, they did not get along. Which couldn't stick when Charlie disappeared, leaving behind blue cosmic dust. Zephyr and Casino had to go across the country to find their beloved friend and owner and bring her home. Would they find Charlotte the Stellar?

Then Simbi disappears from a gathering during the worst years for murders in New Orleans (1994), with police corruption running rampant. Mung Bean and Tammy, both now 16, run away from home soon after, leaving Eclipse to sort out how much is safe to tell the young witch's parents, Rafe and Dinah Broussard, and Simbi's boyfriend, T-Beau LeBlanc. Can Eclipse find his master, ride herd on two teens (a witch and her familiar), keep mere humans safe, and not lose himself to the humanity he's avoided as a crow?
