This is a second installation for a book I read on here labeled "The Masked Man" By minihater. I highly recommend reading that before reading this storyline as it is going to bring up MAJOR story points. (Permission was granted to create this story by the author.

"You look more like your father everyday.." She mumbles under her breath so the little boy can't hear her start to cry, a tear falling down her face. It's been 10 years since he left, Kat doesn't know if he's alive or dead. She just knows that she'll always have a piece of him, whether he knows it or not. She looks to the small box on the counter "Memories" written in sharpie on the one side, opening it to find a laminated note on top. "I'm sorry, forget about me." written on it in pen, she lets out a small sigh.

"I could never forget you.." running her hand over it. She wipes her face of tears, remembering her love, her Ghost.

"It is widely accepted that the supernatural's existence is unfathomable, and those that believe in it are simply mad." ♰ Jezebel Barker was a young, innocent girl who resided in the English moors her entire life. She was a provider, a good girl, when it came to her three siblings. She was a Christian, devoted herself to her family's practice and went to church each Sunday. The dark, windy, overgrown moors were her home. She loved it there. She spent most her time with her father, Damien Barker, reading historical novels and discussing the political climate. But when her entire family comes down with a deadly sickness and passes away, Jezebel is left behind with her father. They travel to the Riley Castle prompted by an invitation from the owner himself, and Jezebel finds herself beholding a gothic, chilling, and enigmatic fortress she is not certain she wants to reside in. Alas, she has no other choice, and enters the castle's depths alongside her father to meet some strange individuals indeed. A tale of mystery, secrets, and supernatural phenomena dwells between the words of "Castle," and haunts the reader to the very end. ♰ [1st Person P.O.V] [Ghost x Reader] [König x Reader] [Contains Smut] ♰ Disclaimer: I do not own the Call of Duty franchise, its plot, or its characters. He was a shadow who lurked in darkness, She was the light who illuminated his existance. He was a puzzle wrapped in an enigma, She was the bane to his existance. He was a man after his own heart, She was his heartbeat. If he was winter, she was his spring, And he couldn't face it without her. Simon Riley was no stranger to loss. From the brutal murder of his broken family, to the life of every soldier snuffed out by the bullet of a faceless enemy. Having his loved ones, his friends unceremoniously torn away from him never got any easier. It wounded him in ways that, while not visible, cut him deeper than any knife ever could. The toll it took permeated every aspect of his existance, infiltrating his sense of self and dismantling his identity. A once deeply empathetic man found himself surrendering to indifference; suffocating meaningful connections before they had time to breathe. He sought solace in detatching himself from others before they could affect him deeply enough for their eventual loss to shatter what little humanity he clung to. Over time, a callous layer formed around Simon's heart- as though an impenetrable shield encased him. Throbbing emotional wounds slowly turned into numb scars, each one an indelible mark on his soul. It felt like he was drowning; being pulled under by an invisible undertow into the depths of sorrow. Every breath became a battle, each gasp a desperate attempt to surface above the crushing waves of loss. Through the suffocating darkness, there was no tranquility. No respite from the insatiable abyss that consumed joy and drowned laughter. It wasn't any one thing that slowly began to chip away at Simon's carefully constructed walls. By the time he became the cornerstone of Task Force 141, very few people knew the man beneath it all. The real Simon Riley, that was until, she came along. Story will include slowburn and erotica. Sam's p.o.v- My heart beat loudly in my ears. A soft smile played on my lips as I kissed all over her forehead, face, anywhere I could. She nuzzled into my chest and I sighed in content. Thoughtlessly, I placed my hand on her chest, covering her tattoo. She froze, glancing at my hand and then at me. I could feel her heart beat quicken, causing me to look up. "I don't think I can express how much I love you," I sighed, making her grin. "You can try," She prompted, causing a smirk to spread across my face. "I can," I agreed, gently pushing her down and hovering over her. "You know," She mumbled as she looked up at me, pushing my hair behind my ear, "I hate it when you're mad at me." "Me too," I admitted, leaning down and kissing her. Basically it starts off with Sam trapped in the basement of that crazy woman British Men Of letters person. He's all alone and he thinks Dean is dead, he doesn't know Marie is alive (obviously) and he doesn't know where Cass is. All of the sudden though, a woman he doesn't know comes to his rescue, seeming to know all about him). She takes him back home and meets Dean (who is very shocked to see this random lady with his tortured brother) She meets Cass and they know each other. A bunch of stuff happens, and she's got some dark secrets. Her and Sam's relationship blossoms into a fluffy ball of adorable that made me happy to write. (The overall theme fits the song Windows by Angel Oleson really well and I'd recommend you listen to it. Also, yes I know at some parts it's really cringey but I was a baby writer for the first parts of the book. It gets better and I'm really proud of it. I'm gonna try to go back and edit it but I'm really busy recently.)

I am going to be making an entirely new book based on this same plot and similar characters... But I will not be a literal child when writing it. Hopefully it's much better lol. _________________________________ Book 1 of the Marks series! _________________________________ What if you fainted, and the place you left, the place you remember, is long gone? Instead you're stuck fighting for your life with the help of your classmates, who all remember everything. But you don't. Ava's twin is hiding something from her, and her best friend isn't the same person she remembers. Her school has been turned into some sort of military base and everyone is in uniform. She hasn't seen any adults, and half of her friends aren't around. What's going on? _____________________________ "I just want to know why. That's it. Why did all these people have to die? Why is it that people had to lose almost everyone they loved in one day? Why? It just doesn't- It isn't-" Dawson sank to his knees and put his head in his hands, his shoulders shaking violently. A sob left his lips, the agonizing sound pulling at my heartstrings. "Why is it that people change? That I'll never get to see..." His voice dragged away into the silent air. Everyone was long gone, having left after the ceremony. Dawson stayed where he was, silent tears running over his fingers and to the ground as his body shook with the force of his cries. ________ This book is based off of my friend Ava's dream.
