Vampires have been known about for years. Some weren't fazed while others hunter them for their blood and their deaths. Me on the other hand, I was more worried about my sister.

Sookie was special, she did something no one else could do. She was able to get into people's mind and read their thoughts. People said she was psych, but I knew that wasn't it.

I wasn't too far off from her; I could silence the thoughts. I could enter human and vampire alike; I could silence their thoughts but also read them.

I was different from her. I had to actually touch the person, create a bond through feelings.

With this new vampire in town every changed.

"Blood. It's wonderful." Since when did people think like a psychotic killer? Oh right, since they're turned into a red eyed, fanged, blood sucking freak. You don't get a choice, you can't fight your instincts. The craving for blood will drown out all other thoughts, it consumes you and there's nothing you can do. On top of that, the vampire world is not the romantic fairy tale other stories have led you to believe. It's cruel and harsh. Hunters will jump out at you, werewolves will track you down and kill you, all because your a vampire. Seems fair right? Well that's not what Kate Evans thought, and she is going to change everything. She only wanted a normal life, instead, she's strange even amongst freaks... -#424 in Vampire
