Sarai is a chimaera, living alongside the seraphim. Since the legendary Karou and Akiva had brought the two races together, there had been a so-called "peace" in the streets of Astrae. However, the seraphs still viewed themselves as the chimaeras' higher-ups, and the chimaeras still felt like they weren't being treated fairly. So when Sarai's house is broken into and burned to ash by a group of rebels, she feels the need to retaliate. Enraged, Sarai begins to formulate a plan that will bring the Seraphim Empire crashing down. Her plan is perfect: enter the castle during the annual seraphim ball, and infiltrate the angels from the inside. There's just one problem: to enter the castle, Sarai will need an angelic partner to accompany her to the ball. And when she finds her date, will she be able to maintain her anger towards the seraphs, or will she melt back into compliance like the others do?
