Will never expected the changes Maeve would bring to their lives or to him. He finds it harder and harder to fulfill his duty as a Soldier of Night. She touches a part of him he believed was dead, as he struggles with his own mind tearing apart. Fear for his cousin eats at him daily. Paranoia, for his betrayal, only adds to his own deteriorating mental health.

Despite being an abomination, Ander gained Maeve's favor. It has changed everything and yet nothing. He seeks a deeper connection with her, but understands it will never be more because of who and what he is.
