After an unusual incident, the two former casters of unusual magic join forces with the Wielders, a crime-fighting caste who are not unlike the two Sparks. Not bound by any royalty nor government, the Wielders see potential in Emerald and Ruby, seeing them as useful assets in the fight against a mysterious enemy.
Meanwhile, Azure is worried about the missing lovers and tries to find his best friend.
