"Some people say.." he begins. "When two people are too different from each other, it will never work out. " He turns to face me. I look at him in confusion. "But you know what, I don't listen to them." I nibble on my lip, unaware of where he is going with this. ''Do you know who I listened to?" he raises his eyebrows. I lift my shoulders, sending him a small shrug. "My Physics teacher, Mr. Lawless." he smirks jokingly. A soft chuckle escapes my lips as I roll my eyes. Typical Alex. I didn't think he even paid attention in class.

"And you know what he taught me?" he continues. He grabs my hand and pulls me closer, his warm body softly pressed against mine. "He taught me that, in terms of magnets, opposites attract." he smiles smugly. Leaning his head down,he gently joins his nose with mine. I shut my eyes and smile. "And Carter.. you and I, are just two unlike magnets.. in our own magnetic field."
