Sawakita Eiji || Outside the lines

​Monika "Monique" Yakimori had long since traded her dreams for the neon glow of a stage. Since the passing of her parents, life had been a relentless series of uphill battles, leaving her with no choice but to work as a dancer in a high-end bar just to keep her head above water. In a world that had taken everything from her, she had learned to survive on grit and the rhythmic pulse of the music.

​Then came Eiji Sawakita. Eiji was a man of cold precision and undeniable appetites. He wasn't looking for a partner to share his life with-he was looking for an escape. He needed someone to satisfy his desires without the suffocating weight of commitment or the messiness of a "happily ever after." To him, Monika was the perfect candidate: beautiful, resilient, and equally weary of the world.

​Meeting Eiji offered Monika a strange kind of hope. He provided for her needs with a casual generosity that she hadn't experienced in years. In return, the terms of their agreement were carved in stone:

​"We'll be friends with benefits, but strictly no feelings attached."

​For a while, the arrangement worked. But as their lives intertwined behind closed doors, the lines between physical necessity and emotional longing began to blur.

Will Eiji keep his words "no feelings attached"?
