Hi, guys! Goldie from. Um. 2026 here. This has officially been discontinued, as it started as a vent fic when I was seventeen or eighteen (I can't fully recall). BUT I will be rewriting it! Actually, I've BEEN rewriting it, it's just taking a while :'D
I would rather have the whole story written before I post it, but due to how much people enjoy this, I'll see if I can't upload the first chapter as soon as it's done so y'all can still enjoy it.
Dib is having nightmares about Zim. Zim is dying, Zim is killing him, Zim leaves him. Dib can't handle it. After a few weeks he snaps and stops sleeping altogether.
Zim starts to notice his enemy's lack of energy and becomes suspicious. He starts keeping tabs on Dib, trying to get the secret out. Eventually he confronts the teen and finds out more than he bargained for.
Aged up three years.

Edit: I have not abandoned this fic! I just can't get back into the right headspace to continue right now. I started this as a vent fic after... Family issues... And I haven't been able to control my mental health enough to be creative lately. If anything, it's gotten worse, and I don't want to push that onto anyone. Thank you taking the time to read this. Plus, FBI shit is fun-- Dib is 17, Gaz is 16, Zim is 162 (17 in human), Tak is 160 (15 in human), Youjiro (my OC) is 118 (18 human years( different species have different age differences)), and Gir is 7 years old. Bro is as old as the day Zim got to Earth LMAO. And YES! There will be lore for Dib as well! He's not gonna be forgotten or just seen as a side character! Book cover by me. I drew it.
