While overcoming the planet's many challenges, they eventually befriend a lonely human boy named Chris Thorndyke. When Eggman shows up with the threat of world domination, it's up to Sonic and his friends to rise to the challenge and prevent the mad doctor from turning the planet into his Eggman Empire.
