The story says that when a Targaryen is born the gods toss a coin. Madness and greatness are two sides of the same coin and when that coin is up in the air, the world holds its breath to see how it will land. But when Saera Targaryen was born, just a few minutes after her brother Daemon the gods dropped the sack of gold and run for their lives. Because when they flipped Daemon's coin it was clear madness that come to view. And a girl that had been born together with madness could not be greatness. 

But who knows, maybe the gods were wrong, or maybe they just knew how this would end...
