The History: Vlad the Impaler is considered the first vampire. Later he changed his title to Count Dracula of Transylvania.
The Legend: After a fierce battle with the Turks he lost his wife. Shortly there after it was rumored he died. Some say he had been revived only to live a lonely life of misery and rage for the loss of his love.
The Hard Facts: He neither died nor did he go into hiding. After the battle and loss of his love he turned his subjects. He established his immortal kingdom. Over the centuries most of his subjects and their "families" had been killed by fearless priests wielding steaks of holly and crucifixes. Even more were wiped out by witch hunters. All that remains are 4 of his subjects and their families. This is their story.
