What is "normal", anyway? Monica Govoni thinks she knows, but really her reality is anything but normal; she just has no idea. 
She thinks she's a normal 17-nearly-18-year-old girl with 2 normal boring parents with normal boring jobs, and she's just a normal boring only child, but there's so much more to Monica than she even knows. Tired of being boring, Monni sets out to make her life more exciting. 
On her 18th birthday, driving home from a club she decides to crash as part of Project Exciting Life with her normal boyfriend, she gets in a car crash and goes into a coma; but when she wakes up there's no normal boring Monica Govoni life; it's  what her life would have been like if her mom weren't taken away to a laboratory and studied on for being such a "freak". Now Monica, aka Deathrose, is learning about something she never knew she had; a past... And maybe a lover.All Rights Reserved

The people of Saffire have been waiting to see The Coming fulfilled. Demalynn assembles a group of clackers to get her home, the most important of which is a fellow clacker: eighteen-year-old Aiden. It is not long before Jago, the ruler of Saffire, learns that a woman on Saffire is pregnant and he unleashes all his power to prevent the birth. Jago will not give up power. Demalynn is surprised to find out she is the Helper, but is astounded to learn the identity of the Gravidarum. Demalynn must battle to stay alive and fumbles towards the realization that Aiden is much more than a close friend.
