When trauma and PTSD take away Dion's voice, he fully accepts it. Safe and sound in his small hometown in Colorado, population: 51, he embraces the silence of his existence, wanting nothing more than to get through each day without being reminded of the past. Most days, he succeeds, until she comes to town, bringing the pain of his past right to his front door.

Saylor has never been out of the big city, so finding herself in a town so small that there isn't even a motel, let alone any fast food, is a whole new experience for her. Especially considering that she's there to settle the affairs of a father she never met, one with a dark reputation whose history just happens to coincide with a quiet local boy.

Though Dion is obligated into helping Saylor in her quest, the more time they spend together, the more he realizes he doesn't want to let her go.

But Saylor's only in town for a week. How can she bear to help Dion heal only to leave him when the time comes to go home? And how can Dion find his voice again in time to ask her to stay?

"Being mute isn't a disability. It just means that God loves you so much that He took away your voice so that you don't hurt others verbally. You see, He doesn't want you to do what others are doing to you." ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ When Sierra Bloom suffers a tragedy that costs her both her family and her voice, she shuts down every bit of emotion and passion within her and brings out a new and cold her that doesn't like being around people and things that are easy to get attached to. Enter David Hale. Cheerful, bright, friendly -a shocking contrast to her cold, closed off personality. Not only does David do things she dislikes, he also does not know when to give up on her. What is Sierra supposed to do when he keeps bringing out the old her and makes her forget the tragedy she caused? The answer is obvious; shut him out and run away. That's the solution.... right? ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ This book was written in 2013, back when I was still pretty much a kid. It hasn't been edited and there are many issues I find with it. I may or may not edit//re-write, but if I do I don't think I'll post it here. At least, for now. In any case, the person I was then is not the person I am now lmaoo but I'm still proud of younger me for this cute little thing. I love all my lovely, LOVELY readers who have sent me such beautiful messages about this book ♥ Thank you for loving my book, it means the world to me. ⌔ - 2023 Update ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ Achievements: General Fiction: #81 Romance: #186 Kisses: #4 ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ All Rights Reserved. When tragedy strikes her family, Jasmine and her mother struggle to move forward. As a last resort, the family decides to move out of town, searching for peace away from the city that holds their worst nightmares. Making up for the year she lost, Jasmine enrolls in a dual program for her first and second years of med school. She however, didn't anticipate learning more than just medicine, and finding much more than what she came looking for. Liam Damien Myers has decided to never rely on anyone since he lost his mother to the big C. Navigating life alone, steering away from other people's business, the last thing he expected was to get caught in the new girl's world. A journey of healing, friendship, and a chance at love. ----------- P.s. since I'm a new writer the first couple chapters might sound a little cringe, but I swear it gets better so soon. It'd be nice if you keep reading till the end and I'd appreciate your support for this new hobby of mine. You're free to call me out on any errors or scenes that you don't like in the comments, be nice though. I really would love to read your comments on the book, so keep commenting, I'll try to always reply. Luv u. Enjoy.
