Sofia Cruz just had her life turned upside down right in time for Christmas. Needing a drastic change, she decides to leave New York City and start over in the town of Cedar Springs. She starts a new job as a paralegal and rents a charming house on the outskirts of town, but most importantly she has her freedom. With her cheating boyfriend gone and her life getting back on track, Sofia is determined to enjoy the Christmas season in her new home. Little does she know that she is about to meet a man who is going to storm into her life and set her world on fire.
Steve Rogers never imagined falling in love, even though his mother lectures him about settling down every chance she gets. He enjoys life as a bachelor. He has his business, his friends, and his dog. What more could a man need? But when a feisty, dark haired beauty moves in next door, he begins to realize that maybe his mother is right. Maybe something is missing from his life and his new neighbor could be just the woman he needs to make him feel complete.
When Sofia's car breaks down, Steve makes her a deal. In return for fixing her car at a discounted price, she has to come home with him for Christmas and pose as his girlfriend for a week. She reluctantly agrees expecting the week to pass by with no issues. It's one week, what could go wrong? But as the week progresses, Sofia realizes that sometimes all it takes is a second chance to find the person you're meant to be with.
