Lilith Barnes had been raised in 1920's Brooklyn alongside her older brother James Buchanan Barnes. When he went off to war and was KIA, she needed something to focus on something besides his death and becoming a lab rat for the early beginnings of SHIELD ended up being exactly what she needed. Lilith was experimented on, trained as an assassin, and quite literally frozen in time for the better part of 70 years. She had always had weird abilities, always been an outcast. Only one man had loved her as more than family, but he was gone and his sudden departure affected her more than anyone thought to be possible

Loki Laufeyson was the lost Jotun prince raised in the palace of Asgard. He was forced to watch his brother be favored and crowned king when he was the one who deserved it. So, he fought for his throne in the worst way possible. Even more, he fought to find love without realizing it - especially after the tragic death of his mother who had been the only one to ever love or care for him.
