Lilith Barnes had been raised in 1920's Brooklyn alongside her older brother James Buchanan Barnes. When he went off to war and was KIA, she needed something to focus on something besides his death and becoming a lab rat for the early beginnings of SHIELD ended up being exactly what she needed. Lilith was experimented on, trained as an assassin, and quite literally frozen in time for the better part   of 70 years. She had always had weird abilities, always been an outcast. Only one man had loved her as more than family, but he was gone and his sudden departure affected her more than anyone thought to be possible 

Loki Laufeyson was the lost Jotun prince raised in the palace of Asgard. He was forced to watch his brother be favored and crowned king when he was the one who deserved it. So, he fought for his throne in the worst way possible. Even more, he fought to find love without realizing it - especially after the tragic death of his mother who had been the only one to ever love or care for him. 

The pair had no idea they were what the other needed, the fact blinded by Lilith's recent traumatic history and that no one is capable of leaving the past behind.All Rights Reserved

But SHE is there now and Loki has to deal with the emotional rollercoaster within himself. He only blamed himself for her ability to shadow the truth with lies that everyone falls for. He was quite impressed as well. Is he even ready for the love that comes with a Midgardian? But how could he get through this without her? After all, she was the only reason he became King in the first place. But isn't life much simpler when your blaming failures on a Midgardian? What about her? She possessed powers. Powers that no typical Earth human had. How could she come across such powers? Well, a small event with the Avengers led Loki to run right to her small home town. What was so significant about that? Well MAYBE the God of Mischief had something to do with those powers of hers, and THAT can certainly cause some issues for them.
