I don't have a mother--well, I do, but she's usually never around. I don't have a father--he left after finding out about my mother's affair with his brother. I don't have any friends--they always seem to not care. I do have a boyfriend--but I am physically and emotionally broken and bruised by him.
You could say that my life is pretty dull and filled with darkness.
I just want to get away. Get away from this house. Get away from this school. And get away from this town.
One semester left of high school and I am gone forever.
There's just one problem...When I saw that dark, curly-haired boy walk through those school doors, maybe, just maybe, he put a little bit of light back into my dark world and a reason for me to stay.
